Kory Hansen

Kory Hansen serves as the Administrator/CEO for Grand Traverse Pavilions.  Kory has spent his entire 29 year professional career in the senior healthcare field including the last 27 years with Grand Traverse Pavilions.  He began his tenure at the Pavilions as an Accountant and with the growth of the organization was promoted to Financial Management Director and CFO before being named to his current position in 2008.  Prior to joining the Pavilions, Kory worked two year for Covenant Retirement Communities in Chicago before moving back to Traverse City.  Kory has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2005 and is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators.  He is also an Associate member of the Michigan Association of CPA’s.

Kory currently serves on the boards for PACE North, Northern Michigan for Veterans, Grand Traverse County Hospital Finance Authority and the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation.  He has previously served on the Grand Traverse County Commission of Aging board, the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan board, and the Traverse City Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee.  Kory is also a member of Rotary International Noon Club of Traverse City. 

A native of Traverse City, Kory is married and has four children.  Kory loves spending time with his family and keeps busy with kid’s school and sports activities.   Additionally, he enjoys most sports, especially baseball as well as the seasonal outdoor activities of our area.


 

Rose ColemanRose Coleman

Rose Coleman has spent almost 30 years working in Long Term Care. She has worked in almost every aspect of clinical care, starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant before getting her Registered Nurse License and working as a floor nurse, MDS Coordinator, Medicare Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. Since 2012 she has served as the COO of Clinical Services for Grand Traverse Pavilions overseeing the quality assurance programs, corporate compliance and HIPAA programs. Prior to joining the Pavilions, Rose served as the Nursing Home Administrator for six years at the Maples, Benzie County Medical Care Facility. Rose has been licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator since 1999.

In her spare time, Rose prefers to be outdoors running, kayaking, or competing in triathlons. She enjoys baking and loves to travel. She and husband Joe have one daughter and two grandchildren.


 

Robert BarnesRobert Barnes

Robert Barnes is passionate about working to improve the lives of our elderly.  As COO of Support Services, he assists in the daily operations and administration of the Organization by providing leadership, direction and management for multiple departments including Human Resources, Financial Management, Information Systems, and Environmental Services.  Robert attended the University of Michigan, Ferris State University, and Brooks Institute, receiving degrees in Business Administration and Industrial/Scientific Research.

Family and church are Robert’s focus when not at work.  Robert married the love of his life, Angela, and they have two sons, Joshua and Jordan.  An avid outdoorsman, you will likely find Robert and his family escaping most weekends to their remote get away cabin in the Upper Peninsula.   Having attended the University of Michigan, he spends many fall Saturday’s in Ann Arbor at the Big House where his blood still runs true blue! 


 

Deb AllenDeborah Allen

Chief Development and Community Engagement Officer, Deborah Allen brought her passion for taking care of our elders to Grand Traverse Pavilions in 2015. Over the past fifteen years Deborah has focused in healthcare philanthropy by working as a consultant and Executive Director for health systems primarily in Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Jersey to enhance their development programs.  She has achieved professional recognition as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

Deb has served our country as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserves and in her spare time she and her husband Mark enjoy the great outdoors and all that Northern Michigan has to offer.


 

Holly EdmondsonKristen Packard

Director of Nursing

Kristen Packard serves as the Director of Nursing (DON) for Grand Traverse Pavilions, having most recently worked as an Assistant Director of Nursing on the Birch Pavilion.  As DON, she is responsible for overseeing all clinical staff.   Kristen attended Central Michigan University, Kirtland Community College, Ferris State University, and Spring Arbor University, earning degrees in both a Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Business Administration.    

In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, enjoying all the Grand Traverse area has to offer.  Kristen’s favorite things to do are to go for a walk downtown, drive around the Leelanau peninsula, go to the farmers market, and try out new restaurants.


 

John Jacobs

J. Lindsey Dood

Lindsey joined the Pavilions team in 2019 after 16 plus years as Chief Financial Officer for Metron Integrated Health Systems in Grand Rapids.  Prior to Metron, he worked six years in public accounting at Ernst & Young. He is a Certified Public Accountant (registered) and is a member of the Michigan Bar.  Lindsey has a BA in Business Administration from Hope College and a JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology-Chicago Kent College of Law.

Lindsey serves by appointment to the Michigan Certificate of Need Commission and on the Hope College Board of Trustees (Finance Committee Chair and member of the Executive Committee).

Lindsey and his wife Lisa are Michigan natives.  They live in Interlochen and enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family.  Both are award winning runners. They have five grown children and Sophie the frisbee catching dog.

 

 

Leslie EtienneDiane Mallory

Human Resources Director Diane Mallory has been at the Grand Traverse Pavilions for 5 years. She started in the Financial Management Department in 2014 before being promoted to her current position. She previously worked in Human Resources for the Maples in Benzie County and is a member of the Traverse Area Human Resource Association.

 

She and husband Jeff settled in Northern Michigan after his retirement from the Coast Guard. During the course of his career they had the opportunity to live all over the United States including Alaska, Northern California, and Ohio. They have three grown children.

In her spare time, Diane likes to spend time with her husband and grandchildren, preferably outdoors biking, hiking or fishing.

 

 

Amy ConesetAmy Coneset

Amy Coneset, Director of our Wellness Center, is a physical therapist with 19 years of experience in a wide range of settings.  Her special interests include neurological rehabilitation and manual therapy and she is passionate about a holistic approach to healthcare and wellness.  She and her husband moved to the Traverse City area from southern Michigan in order to experience all the beauty that northern Michigan has to offer. She wants to make sure that all of our clients are able to do the same! 

She loves cycling, running, paddle boarding, kayaking, and hiking.  She has participated in the Bayshore ½ Marathon and the M22 Challenge almost every year since moving north! 


 

Shelby Mack

Shelby Mack serves as The Residential Services Director for The Cottages at The Grand Traverse Pavilions, where she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Independent Living, Assisted Living, Adult Day, and Overnight Respite Services. Shelby obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Services Administration from Ferris State University where she became captivated with the business of Long Term Care. She started at Orchard Creek Senior Living & Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant where she became passionate about patient care and improving the quality of life for those we serve. In her nearly 5 years at Orchard Creek, Shelby gained knowledge and experience in not only patient care, but Medicare billing, admissions, medical records and other various aspects that go into managing a successful Continuum of Care for the elderly community.

Shelby lives in Mesick, Michigan, where she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family exploring all that Northern Michigan has to offer. 


 

James HunterJames Hunter

Our Dining Services Director, James, has over 25 years in the Food Service business. James has worked in or managed multiple senior services properties, hospitals, banquet facilities and restaurants. The locations stretched from Boston down to Baltimore and from Chicago to Detroit.  James has a culinary arts degree from Macomb Community College and was certified as a dietary manager over 18 years ago.  He has participated in culinary competitions from Detroit to Chicago and has trained under master chefs in Paris, France.  

James enjoys outdoor activities such as running, skiing, hockey and playing with his sons Ayden and Landon.  His passion is to provide a smile to all he serves.
