Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation Joins the 2016 Art Van Charity Challenge 4 on Crowdrise

Traverse City, MI – May 18, 2016 –The Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation has been selected to participate in 2016 Art Van Charity Challenge fundraising competition. For the third year in a row Art Van Furniture is sponsoring a Crowdrise challenge which will result in donating over $300,000 in prize money to regional organizations that support children and health and human services in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. Pavilions Foundation was invited to participate in the challenge to support their efforts to potentially bring PACE - Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly to the families of northern Michigan.

PACE is an innovative care model that provides comprehensive, coordinated care for nursing home-eligible older adults so that they may remain living safely, with a high quality of life in their own homes and as part of community.

The Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation oversees the development and fundraising in support of the Grand Traverse Pavilions – a full continuum of skilled care for residents from nursing home level of care through fully independent living. Regardless of ability to pay, Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation strives to ensure that there is full access to the programs and services of the Grand Traverse Pavilions for all.

“The PACE program has amazing potential for improving the lives of our frail seniors and their family of caregivers in this community,” said Kory Hansen, Administrator/CEO Grand Traverse Pavilions. “We’re excited to be a part of the Art Van Charity Challenge as we continue to fundraise for the purpose of bringing this important program to northern Michigan.”

Crowdrise challenges are innovative fundraising competitions for charitable organizations designed to build capacity, create massive engagement and leverage, and use the power of the crowd to provide new meaningful funding streams for organizations in every sector.

The 2016 Art Van Charity Challenge launches on Crowdrise on May 18th at 12pm ET and runs through June 22nd at 1:59:59pm ET.
