TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan – The smooth velvety jazz sound of Harry Goldson & Friends will take center stage on Thursday, July 18, on the Grand Lawn of Grand Traverse Pavilions. The concert is part of the popular Concert On The Lawn series.

The 7 p.m. performance is free and open to the public. There will be picnic concessions beginning at 6:15 p.m. including grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, beverages, sweets and Moomer’s ice cream.

For a fourth year now, The Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation marketplace will offer raffle tickets (R21429) for a prize of $1,000 cash. The raffle is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Tickets will sell for $5 each or $20 for 5 tickets (one complimentary ticket).

Harry Goldson has been apart of the jazz world from an early age and was known as one of the top reedman. He toured with some big names such as Del Courtney, Jan Garber, Jess Stacey, Bill Russo and others.. He took a break for a while but came back full swing. Harry Goldson and Friends style of velvety jazz will leave you swaying to the rhythm and wanting more.
