Keep Moving will be Topic of Successful Aging Series

KEEP MOVING WILL BE TOPIC OF

 SUCCESSFUL AGING SERIES

 

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Gretchen Fraser, Director of The Wellness Center at Grand Traverse Pavilions, will be the featured speaker Monday, Feb. 23, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.

 

The 2 p.m. program will take place in the multi-purpose room at the main building. It is free and open to the public. Coffee and cookies will be served. Comfort Keepers, in part, is sponsoring the series.

Besides being an executive director, Fraser is a licensed occupational therapist. She leads a team of some 17 physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapists.

 

Her oversight of both The Wellness Center and The Rehab Center at The Pavilions contributes to her broad range of professional expertise.

 

Grand Traverse Pavilions is owned by Grand Traverse County and governed by Grand Traverse County Department of Human Services.

 

The county-owned nursing facility is the largest in Michigan and the fifth largest employer in Traverse City. Among programs and services are independent and assisted living, dementia services, adult day care, short-term rehabilitation, overnight respite, health and wellness classes, long-term care, and outpatient therapy.

 

The Pavilions is located on historic Grand Traverse Commons, just off Elmwood Avenue and Medical Campus Drive.
