Grand Traverse Pavilions Employees Win Scholarships
Traverse City, MI – November 18, 2015 – Grand Traverse Pavilions would like to congratulate employees Chrissy Iverson and Jamie Wilson on being awarded 2015 Michigan Medical Care Facilities Council Scholarships. Iverson and Wilson will each receive $1000 toward their education. The Michigan County Medical Care Facilities Council Scholarship is available to employees of a member Medical Care Facility or relatives of an employee who is majoring in a health or human services field of study at a junior or senior level with a minimum 3.0 grade point average or accepted into a certified nursing program.
Wilson is a senior at Ferris State University and expects to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in May, 2016. She currently works as Staff Development Coordinator for the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Iverson attends Northwestern Michigan College and will complete her Licensed Practical Nurse certification in December, before continuing on to become a Registered Nurse. She currently works as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Aspen Pavilion.
“We are proud of both Chrissy and Jamie and their academic accomplishments,” said Korvyn Hansen, Administrator and CEO of the Pavilions. “They are both excellent employees and we are happy that our association with the MCMCFC benefits our employees with opportunities like this one.”
Since 1988, MCMCFC has awarded more than $95,200 in scholarship monies to 111 students.
