Land-Based Class Scheduled at the Pavilions
LAND-BASED CLASS SCHEDULED AT THE PAVILIONS
TRAVERSE CITY, MI - A land-based class designed to challenge a participant’s total body awareness will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning January 19 at The Wellness Center at Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Beyond Balance will be offered once a week on either Mondays or Wednesdays. Class time is 12:10 - 1 p.m. Each class is $15 and totals $60 for the four-week course. Additionally, individuals may sign up for both Monday and Wednesday. The twice-week enrollment offers a discount. The fee would be $100.
Ann Parker, a physical therapist at The Pavilions, will be the class instructor. Parker graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Grand Valley State University. She has 25 years of clinical experience in a wide variety of settings with extensive orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, neuromuscular, and manual therapy.
A credentialed clinical instructor, Parker is American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited and is a certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) BIG instructor for people with Parkinson’s Disease or other neurological disorders. She has been teaching tai chi since 2000.

The Wellness Center is a primary component of Grand Traverse Pavilions, which also includes Grand Traverse Medical Care, Intergenerational Community Center, Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation, and The Cottages: Independent and Assisted Living.
