Grand Traverse Pavilions Announces New Executive Director – Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation

Traverse City, MI – December 18, 2015 – Grand Traverse Pavilions (www.gtpavilions.org) is proud to announce the appointment of Deborah Barry-Allen as the Executive Director of the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation. “Grand Traverse Pavilions is thrilled to add Deborah Barry-Allen to our management team,” says Kory Hansen, Administrator/CEO Grand Traverse Pavilions. “Deb has extensive experience in foundation, capital campaign and major gift development. Her skills will allow the Foundation to expand its contributed support of the Grand Traverse Pavilions and draw support in bringing the next level to our continuum of care – PACE, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly.”

The Executive Director of the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation is responsible for planning and executing the organization’s development and fund raising operations in support of the community-based, community focused mission of Grand Traverse Pavilions. Ms. Allen will work closely with the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation Board of Directors, Grand Traverse Pavilions management team, local, regional and national foundations, corporate and individual funders to identify and grow the resources needed to support existing programs and services in addition to business development in service to the mission.

For the past three years Deborah Barry-Allen has worked as the Foundation Executive Director for the Southern Ocean Medical Center/Meridian Health System in Manahawkin, New Jersey where she successfully exceeded an $8 million dollar Emergency Department Capital Campaign goal.

Over the past fifteen years Deborah has focused in healthcare philanthropy by working with health systems in Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Jersey to enhance their development programs. She started her fundraising career as the Hospital Foundation Director for Otsego Memorial Hospital, Gaylord, MI where she helped establish the fundraising program and led the organization through a successful $3 Million building campaign for Emergency Services.

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

She served as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserves as an Administrative Officer and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CRFRE) by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
