BAY AREA BIG BAND ALL-STARS, DOMINIC FORTUNA TO HIGHLIGHT GENERATIONS GALA 13
Annual Fund Raiser for Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation
TRAVERSE CITY, MI - It’s all about big sounds and big views when Chris Bickley and the Bay Area Big Band All-Stars joined by emcee and vocalist Dominic Fortuna bring their bold music stylings to Generations Gala 15, sponsored by Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation.
The annual fund raiser will take place Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hagerty Center. There will be silent and live auctions, a catered reception, gourmet dinner, entertainment and dancing.
In addition to the auctions, there will be raffle (license no. R 21429) tickets available for $1,000 in cash. The raffle sponsor is Fifth Third Bank. Tickets are $5 a piece or five for $20. The winning ticket will be drawn that evening.
Reserved seat tickets for Generations Gala are $75 per person and are available by calling (231) 932-3027 or email pdeagostino@gtpavilions.com.
Generations Gala is traditionally a sold-out event and interested attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early, according to Patti DeAgostino, Marketing and Community Relations Director.
“We’ve packed a whole of fun for a wonderful cause,” DeAgostino said. “The proceeds from the Gala will be directed to our Benevolent Fund, which, provides assistance to seniors who need our programs and services.”
Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation is a primary component of parent organization Grand Traverse Pavilions. As the fund-raising arm of The Pavilions and a nonprofit 501 c (3), The Foundation was established in 1997 to raise funds to provide for the health care and residential services of local seniors in residence at The Pavilions.
The Foundation is led by a 20-member volunteer board of trustees, who meet quarterly and through a monthly committee structure support the various initiatives of The Pavilions.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Grand Traverse Pavilions opened in 1998 as the new name and home of Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility. Grand Traverse Pavilions is situated on the historic Grand Traverse Commons. In addition to Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation, The Pavilions consists of Grand Traverse Medical Care, The Cottages: Independent and Assisted Living, Intergenerational Community Center, and The Wellness Center.
